Horticulture Teepee Challenge: Creativity in Full Bloom
Our horticulture students showcased their creativity and practical skills in this year’s teepee-growing challenge, impressing Lady Anne Marie Nelson with thoughtful garden design and plants grown from seed.

Each year, Lady Anne Marie Nelson—our overarching Chair of the Brogdale CIC Group—visits our horticulture groups to see the imaginative and thoughtful gardens students have created throughout the term. This year’s theme focused on constructing teepees and growing beautiful sweet peas up them, and every group rose to the challenge with enthusiasm.
Students demonstrated excellent horticulture skills, designing gardens with careful attention to height, structure, colour, scent, and overall composition. Many learners grew their plants from seed, showing impressive commitment and patience throughout the process.
While it’s always difficult to pick a winner, this year the Brogdale Farm group particularly impressed Lady Nelson with their creative approach and thoughtful garden design.
We’re incredibly proud of the energy, imagination, and hard work students put into their horticulture learning this year!
