Serving Up Success: Food & Cookery Students End the Year on a High
Our Food and Cookery students ended the year by showcasing their skills through a two-course meal assessment and creative café design project, demonstrating growth, confidence, and real-world thinking.

Our Food and Cookery students have finished the year on a high, confidently showcasing the impressive skills they’ve built throughout their course. As part of their final assessment, every learner planned, prepared, and presented their own unique two-course meal. From choosing ingredients to managing time and demonstrating safe cooking techniques, each student showed creativity, independence, and strong practical ability.


Alongside their culinary work, students explored the business side of the food industry by designing their own café concepts. They created detailed digital layouts including essential kitchen and front-of-house equipment, then brought their ideas to life through 3D café models.

This project gave learners the chance to combine creativity, technical skill, and real-world thinking. We’re incredibly proud of what they’ve achieved.
